Maya is one of the most popular 3D animation software used in the entertainment industry, and rigging is an essential part of the animation process. Rigging is the process of creating a skeletal structure for a 3D model, which allows the animator to manipulate and move the model's joints and body parts. In this tutorial, we will go through the basics of Maya rigging and learn how to create a simple rig for a character.
Step 1: Model the character The first step in rigging is to model the character in Maya. You can either create a character from scratch or import a pre-existing model into Maya. It's important to ensure that the model has clean topology, which means that the edges and vertices of the model are arranged in an organized manner.
Step 2: Create joints Once the model is ready, we need to create a skeleton for it. To do this, we will use the joint tool in Maya. Go to the Animation tab and select the joint tool. Then, click on the model's body part where you want to place the joint. Create joints for all the body parts that you want to animate.
Step 3: Adjust joint orientation Once the joints are created, it's important to ensure that their orientation is correct. Select each joint and use the rotation tool to adjust its orientation. The joints should be oriented along the axis of rotation for each body part.
Step 4: Bind the skin After creating the joints and adjusting their orientation, we need to bind the skin to the joints. Skin binding is the process of attaching the mesh of the character to the joints. Go to the Skin menu and select Bind Skin. This will create a binding between the mesh and the joints.
Step 5: Create controls Now that the skin is bound to the joints, we can create controls that will allow us to manipulate the character. Controls are objects that are used to move and rotate the joints. Create the controls by selecting the joint and going to the Animation tab. Select the control shape that you want and click Create Control.
Step 6: Parent the controls Once the controls are created, we need to parent them to the joints. This will allow us to move the joints using the controls. Select the control and then shift-select the joint that you want to parent it to. Then, go to the Edit menu and select Parent.
Step 7: Create IK handles In addition to controls, we can also create IK handles to manipulate the joints. IK handles are used to create smooth movement for the character's limbs. Go to the Animation tab and select the IK handle tool. Then, click on the joint that you want to create the handle for. Create handles for all the joints that you want to animate.
Step 8: Test the rig Once the rig is complete, it's important to test it to ensure that everything is working correctly. Move the controls and IK handles to make sure that the character is moving as expected. You may need to adjust the weighting of the skin to make sure that the character's mesh is moving correctly with the joints.
In conclusion, rigging is an essential part of the 3D animation process, and Maya provides powerful tools for creating complex rigs. By following these basic steps, you can create a simple rig for a character and start animating it. With practice, you can create more complex rigs that will allow you to create realistic and dynamic animations.

I made this tutorials because i feel its interesting . Two Ik is used in opposite to each other. Its just a concept.I do not made global control for this because making global control for any rig is common.if any one need i will make it the final one...
